Hey all you Gals out there who love to be outdoors and helping a great cause. Aura Home (the first and only home to be for Homeless Women Veterans in Western North Carolina) is hosting a fun day of clearing brush debris out of a creek in lovely North Hendersonville

Help us free up the creek that borders the property and leads to the duck pond preserve, while making new friends, eating great food and helping a great cause!
At this time Aura Home is waiting for contractor estimates on renovations. In the meantime we are building a volunteer contact list for various tasks for volunteers. What we need now is persons with knowledge & skills to help write house rules and policies. Office tasks filing, data entry, bookkeeping, etc.
On Saturday, January 28th we’ll have a working crew to remove excess furniture out of the building. We’ll meet at the property 1744 Meadowbrook Terrace in Hendersonville at 9 am and work til mission is accomplished.
To end 2016 Aura Home is celebrating the purchase of a building located in Hendersonville for housing homeless women veterans. Our house will take several months to bring up to county code and do a few renovations. We expect to begin housing women veterans by September 2017.

Aura Home Women Vets is sponsoring Tracy Crow’s two day event in Asheville. The first day event is at The Block Off Biltmore on Veteran’s Day Friday, November, 11th from 7 – 9 pm. There is a $3 cover at the door for this event and 10% of drink proceeds are donated to Aura Home. Attached is the flier for both events.
Tracy Crow is a Marine Journalist, Published Author of five books and Writing Instructor. Tracy will talk about her experiences as a Marine and Writer followed by book signing.
