From CDC: December 21st is Memorial Day for homeless person’s.
This day serves to raise awareness of those who don’t have a place to call home, and to remember those who have died as a result of being homeless. Since 1990, our country has observed National Homeless Persons’ Memorial Day.
As we approach the close of another year, we recognize Homeless Persons’ Memorial Day (HPMD) on the 21st day of December. The events held around the Nation honor those who have died because they did not have shelter, as well as
Kick off drive on 11/2/17 at THE BLOCK off Biltmore, 6 pm to 8 pm with some great music. Bring a clothing item for the drive , have a beverage , 10% of alll sales will go to the Funding thanks to Cam and THE BLOCK off biltmore .
This year Aura Home (Alyce Knaflich), THE BLOCK off Biltmore (Cam MacQueen), Veterans for Peace (Gerry Werhan) and Peace Day Asheville (Craig Klawuhn) have met in hopes of doing an even greater outreach to Collect the following items for Men, Women and Children:
